Well, it's June 29, and I'm sure you all know what that means...That's right, Pixar's new movie is out. And in about six months you'll probably be able to put "Ratatouille" on your iPhone. Yes, the other huge event of the day is Apple's new cool toy. The iPhone can play music, movies, has the internet, holds photos, take pictures, and of course you can talk to people. I'm sorry, but hasn't this concept already been done? There are already a ton of phones that can play music, let you surf the web, and take pictures. So why is this phone such a big deal? Well, it's probably because it's from Apple, and people just can't help seeing and taking what the Apple tree has to offer. But come on, it's $600! That doesn't seem to stop people from camping out for their very own iPhone. The hype for this is bigger than the Paris Hilton's release from jail. Now don't start yelling at me. If I was given an iPhone right now, I would take it. Why? Because it looks so cool. But like I said, the iPhone has already been done just not by Apple. Now something worth the high price would have to be the Microsoft Surface.
It of course would be much more expensive, but its price fits. Sadly, still in development, it won't be ready for the public for a few years. If you think about it, the iPhone is like a small version of the Surface. But, this idea for a phone has been done. What makes it so remarkable, the touchscreen? Now I have to ask myself if I would be acting the same if the iPhone was instead a Zune phone. Well, since I find the Zune better than the iPod, my answer would probably be yes. But I probably wouldn't camp out for something way overpriced, though I would want it. Hey, I've wanted a video game system, and I'm still not close to accomplishing that goal. So, maybe the iPhone really is as grand as Apple says. I don't think the price is that great, but I guess people don't seem to care about that. The iPhone is today's huge hype...it's the iWANT.
Think back on the past month and think of something that has happened in the news. Now how many of you were able to think of something besides Paris Hilton? For some of the millions people in America, it's very hard not to have Paris as your first thought when it comes to news. I mean here I am writing a blog with mention of Paris. So what has so much of the U. S. population obsessed with the stupidity of the beautiful people? Now I'm not saying all celebrity's aren't down to earth, because we all know who are and who aren't. I'm focusing on the one's who are well...like Paris, Lindsay, and Britney. It was interesting to see and hear just how many people wanted Paris back in jail (and still do) after her one house arrest day, which was based on her being sick or something. I don't see other mental patients going home. Paris needed to be taught a lesson and I hope she has learned hers, though time will only tell. I'm sure the media will keep us update. Just look at the coverage Paris got compared to other events going on in the world. I mean HELLO, THERE'S A WAR GOING ON! And now that she's out people will have to look for something else to become interested in. Perhaps the investigation of the murdered pregnant mother, or the woman who died in a hospital that refused to help her. Or maybe politics...though after Hilary's "Sorpanos" video, I lost a little interest. News isn't always exciting, and maybe that's why people became interested in Paris. It was something that didn't involve people who have had terrible things done to them. So maybe we're just looking for something to distract us from the sadness of the world. Or maybe we're out of news we actually care to hear about?
Alright so I've only had one post and that was back in April. Well here we are in late June and I've made it my goal to stick with this thing. Why? Well I take pride in knowing what's going on in the world. I'm known to be a quiet person, but this online space is where I can let the world know what I think. And with that being said, this is The Return.
